How do you translate the excitement of a dice role?

Created by award-winning game designer James Ernest, where players take turns rolling dice, capturing each other's dice, and along with snappy quips captured the spirit of the original game.

Taking a popular game that used dice and a button, brought a host of challenges. Chief was how to make digital dice look, act and feel like dice (solved it). How do you get that insanely intense feeling of trouncing your opponent (solved it).
